I saw these window-shades at an Open House once,
they were cream-colored, and pulled down from the top to the bottom
with a little cord,
but when the light hit them,
you could see this imprinted-photo and it was really pretty.

Heritage in Museums

It is said to have descended from the Pattani courts. Known as cloth of gold, it is created by weaving threads with gold and silver strands.

Woodcarving is the oldest traditional crafts which is applied in the designs of pilars, window shutters, doors, shutters and furniture of houses and palaces. Menkuang has become a full fledged cottage industry in Malaysia. Tall thorny leaves are used to make colorful mats, hats, fans, purses etc. Other popular crafts of the country are kite making, boat making, keris and rattan weaving.

Osmosis will occur. The celery has a higher water potential than the salty water it has been placed in. The salty water is very concentrated because of the salt in it, hence its low water potential. Osmosis means the movement of water molecules from an area of their high concentration to an area of their low concentration, therefore the celery will lose its water through its cell membrane and the cell wall, and and the water will escape into the salty water outside. The celery would then look a bit deformed, since it has lost its water and turgor.

Log Home and Cabin Preservation Methods- Borate Wood Preservatives

Log Home and Cabin Borate Treatments - the options and how and when to use!

One of the most important ways to protect your investment, your home, is to use a wood preservative on your logs. There are only two times that you can effectively use these products on your logs. When the home is built, before it is stained, or after cob blasting a finish off of your logs, before you re-stain. The wood preservative must be applied to raw wood, so it can soak in and dry underneath the stain. This enables the borate to immediately go to work on any possible problem areas existing on the home or cabin, or provide the protection needed in the future if the need arises.

All wood faces the possibility of rot and insect infestation, even in dry climates. Fungi and insects actually consume the cells of dead wood, often causing severe structural damage that often requires log replacement-a costly repair. We use Penetreat to help protect your home from costly damage of rot and insect infestation. Penetreat is a borate based wood preservative. Borates are well known across the world for their protective qualities. Penetreat provides a protective "shell" coating which helps defend your home against dry, wet, and brown rot, as well as termites, house borers, powder post beetles, and carpenter ants, (to name a few).

Borate is not toxic to people and animals. It will not harm you or your pets. Borates do not affect the natural color or strength of wood. They are completely odorless, and are not corrosive to metal fasteners, nails or screws. When a "Penetreat" home is properly sealed against moisture, the borates can provide many years of effective protective.

Impel Rods are a highly concentrated solid form, water diffusible borate rod. They are ideal for both preventative treatments of high risk areas and remedial treatments in areas with existing decay. Because Impel Rods stop decay when properly used, there is no need to replace decay damaged, yet structurally sound logs! Decay prone and rot hot spot areas at greatest risk include: base logs, corner construction, exposed rafters or overhangs, and below windows, doors, and dormers.

Impel Rods depend on moisture to work. When moisture contents of wood reach levels suitable for decay attack, i.e. (around 25 percent) Impel Rods slowly dissolve and begin to diffuse throughout the moisture saturated wood. The preservative will migrate into the areas of highest moisture, which are at the highest risk from fungal decay. The diffused Impel Rod will adequately and effectively prevent the wood from rotting and decaying because it will not allow the fungus that causes rot to grow. When moisture levels drop below 25 percent, the preservative becomes dormant and provides a reserve, ready to reactivate should decay conducive conditions reoccur. We feel that Impel Rods are an essential part of the protection of your log home, and include them as part of our prevention and restoration system.

1995 Mercury 40 HP 2 stroke 4 cyl Impeller replacement instructions.?

I want to replace my impeller. Please do not reply with buy a manual. I bought two. One owners manual that reads "take to dealer if flow is not good". and the 200 page factory manual has major tear down instructions for waterpump replacement , but nothing simple. This is supose to be an annual maintenance item. I also searched the forums and get the same old answer. Buy a manual. Some there there must be simple step by step instructions.

1.Shift engine into foreward gear
2.tilt engine to full "up" position
3.remove 4 bolts (2 each side) from the gear housing
4. remove 1 bolt in front of trim tab
5. gear housing should drop down with the drive shaft attached
6. at the bottom of the drive shaft is a cover with 4 bolts undo bolts,lift cover exposing impellor.

The verse says that the sun over Gibeon and the moon over the valley of Ajalon stopped on their course for one whole day.

It follows that we have got the longest day in the History of Mankind that was not a 24 hours day but a 48 hours day.

This point is left for the modern scientists of astronomy to verify it.

In addition, the verse mentions a Biblical book that is called the Book of Jashar; however, such book is missed and not present among the books of the Bible.

It should be emphasized also that Joshua which killed some 100 thousands men, elders, women, boys, girls and animals is not mentioned in the Noble Quran.

Wedding Rehearsal Food - How Much?

I'm getting married in September. For the Rehersal we are going to have Stake and Shrimp and Chicken Strips for the kids. There are going to be about 50 people there and we're having a hard time figuring out how many pounds of shrimp we need. We're going to boil them in a big fryer with potatos, corn, mushrooms and sausage. His Mom said that she would just get 200 lbs. But we think that is way to much. I mean we're haveing the stake and baked potatos, etc. Some of my family doesn't even eat sea food. How many pounds of shrimp do you think we need for 50 people?
What can I say, I failed spelling!
